Newcastle United's poor run of form continued as they suffered a 3-2 home defeat by Leicester City at St James' Park on Saturday evening, and Magpies fans were quick to identity manager Rafa Benitez as the man to blame for the loss.

The Tyneside outfit came into the clash against the Foxes having taken just one point from the last 18 available, and wins for West Ham United and Swansea City earlier in the day meant that Benitez's men sat just two point above the relegation zone at kick-off.

They got off to the perfect start on their 125th anniversary when Joselu gave them an early lead, but the visitors soon hit back with goals from Riyad Mahrez and Demarai Gray, before Dwight Gayle equalised 17 minutes from time.

However, Ayoze Perez's late own goal proved to the difference between the two clubs, and Benitez didn't get let off the hook lightly.

Newcastle supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the Spaniard, and while one said his "stubbornness is massively effecting us", another said "he seems to be lost at the minute".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
