Aleksandar Mitrovic could not buy a Premier League start for Newcastle United in the early stages of the season, and it was not a surprise when the striker left the Magpies during the January transfer window.
Fulham were the club that secured the striker’s signature on loan, and he has scored three times in six appearances for the Cottagers since making the move to London.
Mitrovic has recently taken a swipe at Newcastle, claiming that Fulham are a better footballing side than the team that still pay his wages.
The 23-year-old scored nine Premier League goals for Newcastle during his first season in England, but only managed four in the Championship last term, and Magpies boss Rafael Benitez simply does not trust the Serbia international.
It seems that the Newcastle fans are now fed up with hearing about Mitrovic, with many claiming that the striker has now found his level in the second tier of English football.
A selection of the Twitter reaction can be found below:
Think mitrovic proved in his first season when he was battering defenders in the premier league that he can cut it in this division. Rafa doesn’t rate him simple as that. #nufc

Anybody else just sick of all the Mitrovic carry on? It can’t be changed now. You can’t go back in time and save him from a move to the Tories and they aren’t going to make you Newcastle manager. So……

He's got better for some the longer he hasn't played… people forget that he's never been anything but average for us

He’s at his right level in the championship. No better.

It's the same as with Ben Arfa, give it a few weeks and they'll move on to another player who's average but shows a bit of pashun, when they really should be dreamboating over Dummett
