Newcastle fans delighted with Mohamed Diame performance

Newcastle United made it three straight Premier League wins with a 2-1 success away to struggling Burnley on Monday night.

An own goal from Ben Mee saw Newcastle take a fourth-minute lead, before Ciaran Clark doubled the away side’s advantage in the 23rd minute.

Sam Vokes had one back for Burnley before the break, but that was how the scoring finished as Newcastle collected another three points.

The Magpies have now moved into 13th position in the Premier League table, and appear to be very much on the right track following a poor start to the season.

The Newcastle fans were fairly active on social media during the match, and a large number were keen to pay tribute to the performance of Mohamed Diame.

The 31-year-old put in an all-action display in the middle of the park, and the 6ft ace’s commitment to the cause did not go unnoticed by the Newcastle supporters.
