Dwight Gayle has been in stunning form for West Bromwich Albion this season, with the centre-forward netting five times and registering five assists in eight Championship appearances.

Gayle joined West Brom on loan from Newcastle United during the summer, having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Magpies for the 2018-19 campaign.

The 27-year-old only managed six Premier League goals last term, and it has been said that Gayle is a very good Championship striker, but a pretty average Premier League one.

There is no question that the 5ft 9in striker has been in impressive form for the Baggies this term, however, and the Newcastle fans have been reacting to his latest goal.

It would be fair to say that many are still frustrated with the fact that Gayle, and indeed Aleksandar Mitrovic, were allowed to leave during the summer.

Joselu, Salomon Rondon and Yoshinori Muto have all struggled in the early stages of the 2018-19 campaign, and the Newcastle fans are not best pleased.
