Newcastle fans have been reacting to the news that Danny Ings wants to leave Liverpool, and plenty of fans are backing a swoop for the former Burnley man.
According to The Guardian, Ings will leave Liverpool this summer in search of regular playing time, so should Newcastle make him an offer?
The 25 year-old joined Liverpool with high hopes in 2015, but has made just 14 league appearances for the Reds after suffering two serious knee injuries, one of which came in his first training session under Jürgen Klopp.
Ings came back with a bang last season when he grabbed the opening goal in his side’s 2-2 draw with West Brom, and he has been linked with a move to Tyneside in the past.
The Guardian report says Klopp wants to keep the feisty striker, but the German recognises the player’s desire for regular playing time, and will allow him to leave.
Ings averaged about one goal every three league appearances at Burnley, and scored 11 league goals in his only full Premier League season.
The 25 year-old has pace and a hunger to succeed, but a few fans are worried about his injuries.

would love him, always 100% committed even if he plays for 10 mins, would be a great signing, shame it probably wont happen tho, would fit into our team perfectly

Would be a risk with his injury record but maybe could bring him and another in as he would be a similar price and an upgrade on Gayle! #NUFC
