Newcastle are still recovering from Rafael Benitez's departure from the club and are actively scanning the market for an adequate replacement.

However, Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has brought some news that has the fans fearing the worst. Downie reported that academy coaches Ben Dawson and Neil Redfearn will assume responsibility for the senior side when the Magpies return to training.

Redfearn has been the head coach of Newcastle's U-23 squad for just over a month now and many of the fans seem to think he's not quite ready to assume such a big role in the club.

The same can be said for Dawson, who has been the caretaker manager of that squad since the start of 2018. In short, neither have the kind of experience and reputation that fans are yearning for.
