Lots of Newcastle fans have been reacting to a first-team update, as stand-in manager Neil Redfearn reportedly wants Achraf Lazaar to feature heavily next season.
Now that the departures of Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon have left Newcastle with a gaping hole at the top end of the pitch, it may be easy to forget that full-back is still major weak point that needs addressing by whoever replaces Rafael Benitez.
Redfearn though, who has been taking first-team training while the club is without a new gaffer, believes Lazaar has what it takes to succeed at the club.

One of the worst left backs I’ve seen play for us (that’s including Babayaro, Griffin, Domi and Haidara) The few games he did play he was all over the place. I’m all for giving players a chance but there is no way he is premiership quality.
