Loads of Newcastle fans have been heaping praise on Federico Fernandez, as the veteran defender continues to fill the shoes of the injured Florian Lejeune.
Newcastle fans were underwhelmed by the signing of Fernandez this summer, not through any fault of his own but because it felt like a panic signing after the injury to Lejeune.
The Argentine defender is already beginning to show exactly why Swansea fans loved him so much though, and fans are now showering him with praise after his post-Manchester City tweet.
The 29 year-old, who has 32 Argentina caps, has been thrown right in at the deep end, having to adjust quickly to different formations and different teammates.
He has barely put a foot wrong despite the Magpies’ gruelling fixture run, and both he and Fabian Schar are starting to look like absolute bargains.
The Argentinian international made five clearances against Manchester City, second only to captain Jamaal Lascelles, and fans are loving their deadline day signing.
