Newcastle fans loved Martin Dubravka’s stunning debut against Man United

Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka enjoyed a dream debut at St James’ Park on Sunday, helping his side to victory over top four side Manchester United in the English Premier League.

Battling against relegation, fans didn’t have much hope of beating Jose Mourinho’s side, but the Magpies produced a stellar performance to pick up all three points and boost their hopes of survival.

Matt Ritchie was the goal hero on the afternoon, his solitary effort enough to secure the win in a match that Newcastle needed top performers in multiple positions to keep the Red Devils out.

At the top of that list was debutant Martin Dubravka, who made a string of fine stops from Man United’s attack across the 90 minutes.

The Slovakian international was a deadline day loan signing from Sparta Prague and regardless of what happens in his Newcastle career from this point on will always be a cult hero for his majestic performance.

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his display…
