Newcastle United moved into 13th position in the Premier League table with a 2-1 victory away to Burnley on Monday night.

The Magpies have now won their last three Premier League matches, and have opened up a four-point gap on the relegation zone in the top flight.

It was a better first half than it was a second, with all three of the game’s goals coming in the opening 45 minutes of football.

Salomon Rondon led the Newcastle line, but the on-loan West Bromwich Albion striker could not add to the brace that he scored against Bournemouth before the international break.

There was a mixed reaction from the Newcastle fans to the 29-year-old’s display, with many split when it came to his night of football.
