Loads of Newcastle fans have been reacting to a worrying report on the progress of Elias Sorensen, as the teenager has played just 32 minutes so far during his loan spell.
Newcastle fans cannot wait to see Sorensen step out with the first team at St. James’ Park for the first time, but for that to happen the youngster needs to get some minutes under his belt.
That is why, at the time, it made a lot of sense to agree a short-term loan deal with Blackpool, as the 19 year-old joined the League One outfit last month.
He was left out of their 0-0 draw against Charlton this weekend though, which makes it four out of the five games since his arrival that he has not played a single minute in.
His only action came in a 2-2 draw against Wycombe, in which he played well in a scrappy 30-minute cameo.
The teenager was electric in Newcastle’s youth ranks, bagging12 goals in 14 Premier League 2 appearances.
You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below, where fans now suspect it was a huge mistake by the club to send him out on loan…
Another week without an appearance for Elias Sorensen at Blackpool. Have we made the wrong choice sending him there? #nufc

Gateshead would have been better than this! Play every week, and close enough to keep an eye on

Seems like it. Reading their forums before he went it didn’t sound good for his chances.

If he dont play it’s a waste. Rather have in the 1st team training with the lads

Absolutely, he’d be better off playing in the youth team or reserves than sitting on the bench at Blackpool, makes you wonder why they bothered.
