Reports suggest Newcastle will make a summer swoop for Swansea’s Jordan Ayew, but fans are completely against a move for the striker.
According to Football Ghana, Newcastle will battle Fulham this summer for the signing of Ayew.
The Ghanaian striker was of course relegated with the South Wales club, and will be one of a number of players looking for a move back to the top tier.
The 26 year-old scored 11 times in all competitions last season and the report claims the Magpies are “closing in” on a deal, after Fulham had an £8m bid rejected.

Newcastle are on the hunt for a marquee number nine this summer, and while Ayew isn’t the 20-goal striker Rafael Benitez is looking for, he could be an astute signing if a deal can be done around the £10m mark.
The versatile forward has bags of pace and skill, but has never quite put it all together to consistently deliver quality end product.
Ayew certainly has something to offer, but fans are obviously hoping for a striker with a better hit rate, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
In my humble opinion he’s woeful and mitro and Gayle are better options. I’d even say no better than Joselu or Perez.

Really wetting the appetite for the new season. Fans will flock to buy season tickets with the news we’re in for a regularly relegated striker who scores now and again.
