Loads of Newcastle fans have been reacting to Mike Ashley’s latest move, as the Magpies’ owner has added fuel to the fire by purchasing House of Fraser.
Ashley’s Sports Direct have bought House of Fraser for £90m, just hours after the department chain went into administration.
Newcastle fans have been asking “where has the money gone” in every transfer window since Ashley took over, and let’s just say they’re not happy about this move.
The Magpies consistently have one of the lowest net spends in the Premier League, and their frugalness in this summer’s market was even more notable due to the massive spending of newcomers like Fulham and Wolves.
Rafael Benitez has actually grabbed some decent acquisitions to his squad, such as the hugely popular Kenedy and Martin Dubravka, but fans are furious with Ashley’s business venture.
The season kicks off tomorrow with a home clash against Tottenham, but the matters on the pitch are only half of the story. You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…

This is an outrage. The day after the transfer window closes. Could he not have even waited another 24 hours to announce this. Quite simply, he is goading us

So that’s why he wouldn’t give Rafa any money
