Newcastle fans aren’t too impressed by the latest striker link, as it seems long time target Nicolai Jorgensen is frantically searching for a new club.
Newcastle fans were upset they missed out on Jorgensen last summer, and the Danish striker spoke out about his “dream move” to the Premier League earlier this year.
The 27 year-old was just off the back of a season where he scored 21 times in 32 Eredivisie appearances, but 12 months later it has all gone so wrong for him.
Valued at £12.6m by Transfermarkt, the Feyenoord front man’s form went off the deep end in the second half last season, and he had a truly awful World Cup.
The Chronicle report that the Dutch club turned down a £15m bid from the Magpies in January, as they hoped a successful World Cup would up his price.
With no goals in four games for his country though, the striker is now being touted around, and the report from The Chronicle claims Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign him, presumably for a lower price.
Jorgensen can definitely score goals, but his sluggish performances in Russia have turned fans against him, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Based on what I’ve seen of him he may be more suited to our league one friends down the road.

After the World Cup he’s had I hope they have halved the price. Look pretty useless for the Danish.
