Former Newcastle United manager and current West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew saw his phone and wallet stolen before four of his senior players stole a taxi on the same night during a mid-winter training break in Barcelona, and Magpies fans were quick to have their say on the news.
The west Midlands outfit released an official club statement about the incident involving Gareth Barry, Jonny Evans, Jake Livermore and Boaz Myhill on Friday, while a report in The Telegraph told the story of how the 56-year-old had been burgled on what was supposed to be a chance to train and bond abroad.
Pardew was never really a popular figure during his time on Tyneside, and the St James’ Park faithful certainly don’t appear to have too much sympathy with their former chief.
Newcastle supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the story, and while one said “all Newcastle fans are not the least bit surprised by this”, another said “I won’t shed any tears for him”.

Embarrassing. Remember when people used to argue with us that we were all wrong and Pardew was a good manager. Where are those clowns now.

The guy is a joke. He makes a living out of being sacked.
