Newcastle United winger Jacob Murphy scored his first goal for loan club West Bromwich Albion in their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night, and Magpies fans were quick to have their say on the wide man finding the net.

Rafa Benitez admitted he allowed the 23-year-old to join the Baggies on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window following the arrival of Miguel Almiron at St James' Park, and his outing against Forest was his third for the west Midlands outfit.

The attacker started the match in a front three alongside Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle, and scored his side's first equaliser of the night with a right-footed effort.

Newcastle supporters took to social media to have their say on Murphy's goal and how it could affect him and their club, and while one commented on his squad number of 70 and said "don't ever let him come back", another said it will "hopefully give the lad some confidence".
