Loads of Newcastle fans have been reacting to an injury update on DeAndre Yedlin, as the American full back is set to return to full training soon.
Newcastle fans were fearing the worst when it looked like Yedlin may join Florian Lejeune on the long-term injury list, but the club have announced the injury is not serious.
“He has been assessed and undergone treatment this week and is likely to resume training with his team-mates shortly,” said a club statement.
The flying right back appeared to damage his knee in the closing stages of the defeat to Tottenham, and the lack of a good replacement had fans holding their collective breath.

The Magpies fell to a 2-1 defeat last weekend, but there were plenty of positives to take from the performance, and this update on Yedlin is a major boost as well.
Rafael Benitez’s side is once again the early kick-off this weekend, and will hope Yedlin can help them bounce back against an underwhelming Cardiff City side.

Just as well because if he was crocked, we'd be knackered because we don't have enough cover…and we all know whose fault that is…🙄

Glad it’s not a serious injury because with Florian being out injured we need all of our defenders to stay fit & he’s improving under Rafa too

This was definitely nearly a case of many not realising what we had until he was almost gone!
What great news!#NUFC
