Newcastle fans react to Rolando Aarons joining Wycombe on short-term loan

Premiership Picks

One of Newcastle’s brightest emerging talents of recent seasons, it’s fair to say Rolando Aarons hasn’t quite delivered on expectations.

The 23-year-old scored his first senior goal against Crystal Palace in August 2014, just a couple of weeks after making his Premier League debut for the Magpies.

Since then, injuries have taken their toll and the former England U20 international has had numerous spells on loan.

Last season, Aarons featured for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship, and now, Newcastle have confirmed the winger is heading to League One side Wycombe on a short-term loan deal.

After hearing about the update on the 23-year-old, Magpies fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the former starlet.

Many supporters insisted the move represented a steep decline for the winger, and suggested he should be sold.

Others however claimed Aarons is good enough to make the Magpies squad, and suggested Steve Bruce should have stopped him from going on loan.
