Lots of Newcastle fans have been reacting to a tweet from Sky Sports journalist Pete Graves, who claims the club do expect to make some “key signings” once they appoint a new head coach.
I'm TOLD some key signings will follow new head coach announcement. Fully expect the "we don't care" replies. But that's what I'm led to believe. Clearly time is of the essence and pre season is upon us. Nothing about this summer so far has been ideal preparation for #nufc. https://t.co/ugTzlqAQyz

Mike Ashley has a habit of making Newcastle fans’ summers miserable, but this year he may just have topped his own lofty standards.
The reported takeover of the club is still up in the air and it’s really anyone’s guess as to how legitimate it actually is, while the silent treatment from the club has left fans in limbo.
On top of that, the Magpies are the only top-flight side not to make a signing yet this summer and they have been without a manager since Rafael Benitez departed at the expiry of his contract.

Now though, Graves claims that there is light at the end of the tunnel, as he tweeted some positive news for the Toon Army.
The Newcastle-based Sky Sports reporter says he has been told some new signings will follow the appointment of the new head coach, which is expected to be Steve Bruce.
Lots of fans have been reacting to the tweet, and you’ll never guess what they have to say about it…
mate the club doesn't care. never mind us.
season ticket price increase
most expensive home shirt in the league
mediocre manager appointment

So a mini bus full of young French lads nobody’s heard of. The day Rafa left ,so did our pull for decent player’s.

Why did they need to wait for a manager to come in before signing anyone when the manager has no say on who’s coming in?

When you say new signings? These won’t be Bruce’s signings, they’ll be Ashley signings. I don’t blame Bruce, but how can anyone expect to manage a team with no say in who comes in or who goes! It’s a sure sign of relegation. I couldn’t give a monkey’s anymore

This is actually soo depressing I am dispondant, I’ve wasted my whole life supporting a team just for them to officially give up on anything more than existing its so disturbing and unnatural for a competitive sports team to decline the opportunity to be competitive #NUFC

We don’t care!!!
But seriously – Not even bringing Messi in would bring me back to #NUFC. Nothing will change that other than Ashley leaving.

Define key signings when Rafa, Rondon, Perez, Hayden, Longstaff have gone or are going
What player would, in their right mind, go to the team formerly known as Newcastle United?
Ashley’s toxic culture, lies, deceit and non transparency is a workplace NOBODY should be subjected to

No there won’t Pete. Come on man just boycott it like everyone else. There is nothing to support anymore mate. Nothing.
