Dimitar Berbatov might be 37 years of age, but the centre-forward is still going strong, and is currently looking for a new club.

The Bulgarian has enjoyed a wonderful career - turning out for the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Monaco.

The striker last represented Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters during the 2017-18 campaign, but is said to be keen on a return to the European game.

Berbatov's Premier League record stands at 94 goals in 229 appearances, with the majority of those coming during his time at United.

The 78-time Bulgaria international scored over 50 goals for United, and also won two Premier League titles at the Theatre of Dreams.

A picture of Berbatov in an old Newcastle shirt has surfaced on social media, and the English club's supporters have called on head coach Rafael Benitez to sign the forward.

Salomon Rondon and Yoshinori Muto both moved to Newcastle in the summer transfer window, but the club's fans also want Berbatov to boost their attacking options.
