An out of form Newcastle United face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, and Magpies fans are all saying the same thing about goalkeeper Rob Elliot.
Rafa Benitez’s men come into the clash in north London having lost seven of their last eight Premier League matches, and they now lie just two places and one point above the relegation zone.
Elliot started the season as Benitez’s first-choice stopper, but he was relegated to the substitutes’ bench following the 3-0 defeat against Watford at St James’ Park, with Karl Darlow preferred between the sticks since then.
However, the former Nottingham Forest keeper has also failed to impress and particularly should have done better during the 3-2 loss at home to Leicester City last weekend.
Newcastle supporters have been quick to have their say on goalkeeping conundrum via social media, and they want Elliot reclaim his spot at the Emirates.
While one said he “rarely puts a foot wrong”, another said “I’d have Elliot back in today”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
I'd have Elliot back in today. Lacelles with Clark. We have shit full backs so whoever plays there worries me. Merino and Hayden in the middle. Atsu, Ritchie either side. No idea who should go up top. Joselu I'm guessing will start with Perez today #nufc

Think Elliot today. If it wasn’t for the fact it was arsenal I’d say woodman but you don’t want the lads confidence getting knocked if 4 or 5 goals go past him . #nufc

Elliot. Darlow isn’t reliable. Should never have got rid of Krul.
