Loads of Newcastle fans have been giving their verdict on the 1-0 win at Huddersfield, and it seems the Toon Army have a new cult hero in Salomon Rondon.
Newcastle moved well clear of the relegation zone on Saturday, as the Magpies now have six points between them and Saturday’s opponents Huddersfield, who currently sit in 18th place.
The Magpies were under a lot of pressure in the first half, and some of their passing was absolutely woeful, but whatever Rafael Benitez said at half time clearly worked.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
Rondon was the star man yet again, as the Venezuelan international scored the game’s only goal just after the interval.
The colossal 29 year-old tucked the ball home after some nice work from Javier Manquillo and Ayoze Perez down the right flank, taking his tally to the season to five.
The West Brom ace is of course only on loan at St. James’ Park, but fans are hoping to sign their new number nine to a permanent deal, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
Almost like rafa knows what he is doing… who would have thought.

Better than Slimani at least, though wasn’t hard to be. I’d like to have him signed permanently. I doubt we will though. Ashley not likey old players.

He’d be deadly if we added more pace and width like a Townsend
