A Newcastle bid for French talent Moussa Sissoko could be on the cards after the midfielder revealed that playing Premier League football "would be a dream come true".

It had been reported earlier this week that the Magpies had made an agreement with Sissoko's current team, French side Toulouse, but Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has denied the rumours.

Demand is high for the midfielder, with Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter Milan all rumoured to be interested.

Sissoko, 23, is an important player for Toulouse, making eight appearances so far this season, and has scored one goal, securing a win for Toulouse over Ligue 1 rivals Nancy. He has also appeared five times for his national team, France.

Now Sissoko has indicated that he would love to move to the Premier League. Even more promisingly for Newcastle, he has praised the Magpies and thinks footballers would be attracted to playing for the team.

"To play in the Premier League would be a dream come true. It is a fantastic league and I enjoy watching it," the player told Sky Sports.

"Newcastle are a fantastic team and would be attractive to any player. I am no different."

It was reported yesterday that Newcastle player Yohan Cabaye is attempting to encourage Sissoko to join the Magpies' ranks.

However, Alan Pardew dismissed talk that Newcastle and Toulouse had come to an arrangement over the star, saying the speculation was "news to me."

Additionally, an apparent Newcastle source said to the Evening Chronicle that " there have been no discussions or talks with any of Sissoko's representatives. It is merely agent talk."

Moussa Sissoko is now in the last year of his current Toulouse contract, so buying the midfielder in January could be a possibility, while he could leave for free in the summer of 2013.
