The Dynamo Kiev striker is expected to leave Dynamo Kiev in the coming months, with the Ukrainian giants openly pursuing Dieumerci Mbokani – who has been linked with West Brom.
The 24-year-old has been linked with the Magpies over the course of the last year or two, and Alan Pardew’s pursuit of attacking players ahead of next season has led to rumours of a move to St James’ Park.
Ideye’s agent, Hootan Ahmadi, says that, as of yet, no English clubs have made an official approach, but that his client would be extremely interested in a move to the Premier League:
“We are waiting for English clubs.” He is quoted by Sky Sports.
“He is still keen on the Premier League, although money will be a lot better abroad.”
Ahmadi went on to claim that there is no rush to make a decision, and that many clubs from across Europe, and further afield, are tracking Ideye:
“Quite a few clubs are interested now in France, Turkey, Germany, Russia and the Middle East.
“We are just seeing what the best option is.”
Ideye started his career in his homeland and has since represented clubs from Switzerland, France and Ukraine.
Could Brown Ideye compliment the abilities of Papiss Cisse?
