Newcastle Transfer Roundup: Toon budget revealed, No Bruce approach made, Darlow interest

Newcastle have £90m to spend

According to Keith Downie of Sky Sports, the man who moves into the Newcastle hot seat will have £90m to spend this summer. Apparently, all of the money received from Ayoze Perez’s transfer to Leicester City will be added to the sum set aside for new recruits which initially stood at £60m.

No Bruce approach yet?

Journalist Adam Oxley is reporting that Mike Ashley and co are yet to make a formal approach for Sheffield Wednesday boss Steve Bruce. The 58-year-old was at the Owls’ training ground on Friday morning, Oxley adds. This conflicts with other reports stating Lee Charnley made an approach earlier this week.

Leeds eye Darlow

Leeds United could make a move for Karl Darlow this summer if they can offload Kiko Casilla according to Football Insider. The 28-year-old is on a list of shot-stoppers who are being considered by the Whites. The Englishman made just one appearance for the North-East outfit last season.
