Bruce to be approached

According to The Sun, Newcastle United are set to make an approach for Sheffield Wednesday manager Steve Bruce. The former Sunderland boss is the North East outfit's number one choice to take the hot seat, and they are also willing to pay the compensation fee for the 58-year-old.

Benitez warns Vieira and Arteta

The Sun is also reporting that both Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta decided not to take the Newcastle job after having conversations with Rafa Benitez. Both of them have ruled themselves out after speaking to the Spaniard, who left St. James' Park last month.
