Newcastle United fans keen to see Dummett back in action

Newcastle United left-back Paul Dummett is closing in on a return to action, and the fans cannot wait to see him play again.

The 26-year-old has been on the sidelines since the opening day of the season in August after suffering an injury during defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park.

Dummett has since returned to training and has eight days to get himself fighting fit for the away clash against Manchester United.

In his absence, Chancel Mbemba and Jesus Gamez took on the responsibility of sharing the left-back role before Javier Manquillo switched sides.

The former Liverpool player has had some questionable moments while performing in that position, which makes Dummett’s return that much more important.

The full-back took to Twitter to express his joy in getting back into training mode ahead of next weekend’s trip to Old Trafford.

As expected, Newcastle fans were quick to comment on the player’s tweet.
