Newcastle United fans took to Twitter to express their rage over their team’s latest performance on Monday night.
A toothless Magpies side travelled to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League and supporters, while not expecting much, did at least want to see the players put some effort in.
But they didn’t get any as Rafa Benitez’s men slipped to a 2-0 loss in the capital to continue their shocking run of form in London.
Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring for the Gunners on the half-hour mark and Alexandre Lacazette made sure of the points with seven minutes remaining as Newcastle slipped to 14th, just seven points above the relegation zone.
And replying to a full-time Tweet from the club’s official account, members of the Toon Army were hardly afraid to make their valid feelings clear with “Our passing made me feel physically ill” and “get new players” being just a couple of examples of the nature of the comments.

Weren’t expected to do anything but that was really poor.

Our passing has made me physically ill

That was genuinely abysmal – why not just go for it after 60 minutes when 1-0 down? our goal difference isn’t that bad. Yes Arsenal are, and were the better side but doesn’t mean we should accept a loss in the second half? We didn’t against City. Could’ve easily been more than 2.

not a huge loss but this was probably the worst performance of the season, very disappointing probably set an all time low pass accuracy stat, not 1 decent thing from us

No problem losing to a good side, and every side has their off days. But multiple professional footballers not being able to pass the ball five yards was embarrassing tonight. Onto Palce anyway

Just get new players at this point

Dismal performance and again the lack of attacking intent was evidemt. Newcastle should be able to trouble any team not just stand back and admire the opposition.
