It is easy to for football fans rehash old memories when things are not going to plan on the pitch.

On Saturday, Newcastle United recorded their seventh defeat of the Premier League season as they were beaten 1-0 by Brighton.

After nine outings Rafael Benitez's side are still yet to pick up a victory, which has left the supporters frustrated.

The team have also only found the back of the net three times in their last five top-flight matches.

In the summer the club opted to offload Dwight Gayle to West Bromwich Albion on loan, while Aleksandar Mitrovic was sold to Fulham for a fee in the region of £22m.

Both forwards have been performing well at their respective clubs, with Mitrovic scoring five goals in nine league games.

Over the weekend Fulham were beaten 4-2 by Cardiff City, but the Serbian international managed to record an assist.

After witnessing Newcastle lose again, some supporters brought up the subject of Mitrovic's departure and a few pointed the finger at Benitez.
