Newcastle United fans are hoping for a blockbuster end to this month's January transfer window, with their English Premier League survival at stake in the second half of the season.

So far this term the Magpies have scored just 22 goals in the top-flight, less than the likes of relegation rivals Stoke City and Southampton.

If they are to turn things round in the final 14 games, they could do with reinforcements in attack and this week have been linked with a number of attackers such as Andre Schurrle, Islam Slimani and Nicolai Jorgensen.

However, it's another figure that is getting some Newcastle supporters talking - Celtic's Moussa Dembele.

The Hoops striker is currently out-of-favour in Glasgow, failing to make it into Brendan Rodgers starting eleven in their last two matches, prompting speculation he could be set for a big money exit.

However, he has an impressive scoring record north of the border and has also scored six UEFA Champions League goals for the club, perhaps suggesting he is ready to make a step up to a higher quality league.

Magpies fans would certainly like to be in the running for his signature, even over other reported targets, believing that the French U21 international is the right man to lead their attack.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on bringing him to St James' Park...
