Newcastle United fans have rightly called on the club to sign Jarrod Bowen after their 0-0 draw with Oxford United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Steve Bruce’s side struggled to break down the League One club at St James’ Park and will now face a replay against Karl Robinson’s side to progress to the fifth round of the competition.

Their lack of creativity was shown up in a game in which they had just four shots on target despite boasting 62% possession, per BBC Sport.

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all 25 of these obscure Newcastle signings...

Bowen, a clever, tricky winger, has been linked with a move to the Magpies, with Chronicle Live reporting that the Magpies are keen to complete a transfer before the deadline, although they're reluctant to pay Hull's £20m valuation.

He played on Saturday as Hull lost to Chelsea and a number of Newcastle fans believe that he could solve a lot of the issues that are currently present within their squad, with many impressed with his display vs Chelsea.

And the English forward's stats show that they could well be spot on.

Per WhoScored, he had six shots on goal and completed two dribbles against the Blues, along with one key pass. Not only that, but he also made four interceptions in a complete display that points towards him being ready to make the step up to the top-flight.

Newcastle have also been heavily linked with a possible move for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose, while they have already brought in winger Valentino Lazaro from Inter Milan and Nabil Bentaleb from Schalke.

And managing to convince Bowen to join would be the cherry on top of a particularly tasty cake in this transfer window.

Indeed, this season, the Hull winger has scored 17 goals in all competitions, while also providing five assists. The Magpies should be doing everything they can to bring him in and add a further dimension to their attack.

He is ready to make the jump to the Premier League; moving to St James’ Park would be an interesting switch and also cap a superb window for Bruce’s men. It is an opportunity that must not be missed.

Meanwhile, Newcastle fans have reacted to a new signing's debut!
