The England under-21 midfielder has had a turbulent career both on and off the field since he first came to prominence at Manchester United. After then-United boss Alex Ferguson decided that he could do nothing to tame the player, he decided to sell him to the Hammers with the belief that a change of scenery might see an improvement in the Manchester-born youngster’s behaviour.
However, West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has also run out of patience with Morrison, and he is now being offered to a number of clubs including Newcastle, who showed interest in the player in the past.
Although Magpies managing director Lee Charnley said the club are “unlikely” to sign anyone this month, they could be tempted if they are presented with an offer they can’t refuse.
