Newcastle United added to Arsenal's away day misery on Sunday afternoon, beating the Gunners in a 2-1 win at St. James' Park that has made a top ten finish this season seem more likely than unlikely - now three points ahead of 11th-placed Bournemouth with a game in hand.

Arsenal opened the scoring when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hit a first-time cross into the path of Alexandre Lacazette, but the Magpies managed to respond shortly after as Ayoze Perez converted a precise attacking move with an impressive finish - and the Spaniard then turned provider, setting up Matt Ritchie for the winner.

Perez certainly impressed playing just behind Dwight Gayle, but there were other key components to the win as well. DeAndre Yedlin notched up an assist from right-back, while powerful 31-cap Senegalese  Mohamed Diame made the most tackles and interceptions, five apiece, of any player on the pitch.
