Newcastle fans have been debating a possible move for Quincy Promes, and fans are absolutely desperate to sign the Dutchman.

Rafael Benitez and Newcastle are working frantically to make the incredible loan signing of Kenedy a permanent one, but they’re also making plenty of noise around other targets as well.

The Magpies could yet make a bargain move for the relegated Xherdan Shaqiri, but reports last week suggested Quincy Promes was their man.

The report from Poka Moscow (via Back Page Football) says Newcastle are one of three teams interested in a €25million (£22m) move for Promes, alongside Roma and Tottenham.

The other interested parties already have multiple quality attackers that could compete with the Dutchman, meaning the promise of regular playing time could lure him to Tyneside.

Promes has electric pace, and his direct, clinical style has helped him grab 21 goals and nine assists in all competitions for Spartak Moscow this season.

The 26 year-old can play anywhere across the attack in either a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1, and this versatility combined with his incredible end product could have plenty more than those three teams clamouring over him this summer.

Newcastle fans will hope that’s not the case though, as a whopping 88 per cent sad they would back a move for Promes.
