Paris Saint Germain defender Mamadou Sakho has played down talk of a move to Newcastle and is focused on finishing the season.
Magpies boss Alan Pardew is said to be keeping tabs on the player as he plans further raid on France at the end of the season, while Arsenal are also said to be keen.
Sakho could be surplus to requirements next season as PSG plan a mammoth spending spree and Newcastle are ready to make a move to bring him to England.
Sakho has admitted in the past that he would be open to a move, but for now he is staying focused on seeing the future out with PSG before deciding his next move.
When quizzed about the rumours, Sakho revealed: “No it does not disturb the squad. We remain focused on our jobs.”
Newcastle are also staying focused on trying to keep their place in the Premier League and all moves are on hold until they know what division they will be playing in.
