Newcastle United may have ended up getting a 1-1 draw, but before Callum Wilson’s penalty in the 96th minute, they had not got a single shot on target.
Before the goal, the club’s fans were furious with Steve Bruce for his tactics and felt that he was the reason their club is “destined for relegation”.
Rueing his style of football, as much as the results, they have grown increasingly frustrated with their manager.
This team is destined for relegation with Steve Bruce in charge. No plan. No Tactics. No clue. #bruceout #nufc #TOTNEW

Steve Bruce is without a doubt the worst manager in the PL. How do you play Joelinton for 90 min, it’s clear as day for everybody else that he’s not cut for the Premiership. Worst £40M ever spent.

what has steve bruce done in his entire career that warrants him being a premier league manager. the man hasn’t done a single good job anywhere

Eddie Howe > David O’Leary > Wallace and Gromit > Steve Bruce

Before the goal, for some fans, enough was enough, and they wanted to see Mike Ashley sack the 59-year-old immediately.
He was called “useless” and “absolutely out of his depth” by one fan, while another complained about the lack of shots on target his team has had.
It is clear to see that plenty of fans have completely run out of patience with their manager.
Steve Bruce has always been useless. Still is useless.. and should hand his notice in! We actually have decent players. . But he can’t set them up! Absolutely out of his depth! #Bruceout

GET STEVE BRUCE OUT!!

Is having a better manager than Steve Bruce too much to ask for? Zero shots on target in 180 minutes of premier league football!!! #bruceout #nufc

For some, not even the equaliser was enough to get them on side, as they felt the point just covered the cracks of the shocking performance their team had put in.
They want to see their side playing better football than they have under Bruce, feeling that a change is now necessary.
One has even suggested that they should “get him out and get Eddie Howe in”, presumably in an effort to play a more exciting brand of football.
I don’t think I can take another week of Steve Bruce telling us how ‘vitally impowtant’ it is to do the basics of football, get him out and get Eddie Howe in #nufc

A dodgy penalty and Spurs not being able to finish shouldn’t let Steve Bruce off the hook, that was woeful#bbcfootball
