The FIVE ‘transfer bargains’ to change Newcastle’s fortunes

Needless to say, it has been a rather woeful season at St. James’s Park. Far from finishing up in 5th place in the Premier League as they did last season, Alan Pardew’s men have spent the year flirting with the prospect of relegation, recording 19 top flight defeats in the process, including a 3-0 loss at home to local rivals Sunderland followed by a 6-0 thumping at the hands of Liverpool.

Just in case Pardew is short of ideas of whom to bring in, we’ve complied a list of FIVE stars that could improve the Toon squad without damaging the club’s finances in the process.
