Chelsea look to continue their recovery with as they travel to seemingly perennial strugglers Newcastle United in the late kick off this afternoon.
Club captain John Terry has found himself on the bench, after a heavily criticised start to the season.
After a dodgy start to their title defence, the Blues are back to winning ways following their 2-0 victory over growing ever bitter London rivals Arsenal.
They will, of course, be without Diego Costa who is suspended for the game and will rely on former Toon man Loic Remy to provide the goals.
Mourinho’s men have found the Magpies to be somewhat of a bogey team in recent years – it was the North East giants who ended Chelsea’s unbeaten record at a similar stage last year.
That was then, however, and this is now. Steve McClaren hasn’t had the best bedding in process at the club, picking up only two points in his six games so far.
£13.5m man Aleksandar Mitrovic returns to the fray after serving his suspension following a red card picked up in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal a few weeks ago.
The Serbian has yet to score for his new side, after a big money move, and is more famous for picking up cards than goals at the moment.
He will be partnered by Ayoze Perez in attack, as the Toon Army look to truly get their season underway.
