The Premier League duo have both been linked with the Barcelona stopper in recent months, after it was confirmed that he will not be extending his spell with the Spaniards.
His current contract at the Nou Camp expires at the end of next season, and the 31-year-old has turned down an offer of a new deal.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with Valdes, but his agent Gines Carvajal says that there have been no offers yet:
“When his contract expires, we’ll see what his possibilities are and then we’ll make a decision. But there is nothing yet.” He is quoted by Sky Sports via R7.
“If something comes, we’ll take a look.”
Arsenal are said to be the more interested of the duo, with Wojciech Szczesny under pressure following a series of poor performances.
But, Liverpool could make a move if current number one Pepe Reina, who has been linked with Barcelona, leaves this summer.
However, the pair face competition from Brazilian giants Sao Paulo.
