According to reports from Get West London, Norwich City are ready to splash out a club-record transfer fee to sign Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

The Scotland international is the most proven striker in the Championship, amassing 116 goals in 303 appearances throughout spells with Cardiff City, Leeds United and the Cottagers.

And all three clubs to drop into the Championship from last season’s Premier League appear to be battling it out for the 29-year-old’s services.

Indeed, Aston Villa and Newcastle United were linked by Express and Star in June, whilst a recent Team Talk exclusive has claimed Norwich City are currently leading the race to sign McCormack.

Get West London document Villa’s interest once again but claim the Canaries are prepared to launch a club-record £15million transfer bid, which would activate the potent forward’s release clause.

Signing McCormack would be a massive boost to Norwich’s title credentials for next season, whilst missing out could put a huge dent in Aston Villa’s plans of instant promotion to the Premier League.
