Norwich fans slam Alex Tettey after defeat to Preston

Norwich City fans have taken to Twitter to slam Alex Tettey for his performance in the 3-1 defeat to Preston North End on Wednesday night, which saw them lose their spot at the top of the Championship.

The Norwegian midfielder was drafted into the team after an injury to Mario Vrancic, who looks set to miss the next three weeks after damaging ankle ligaments in the 3-0 win over Ipswich.

Tettey started alongside Tom Trybull at the Deepdale Stadium, and looked shaky as Preston went 2-0 up after just 24 minutes.

Canaries boss Daniel Farke withdrew Trybull at half time as he looked to change things for the better, but perhaps it should’ve been the former Norway international who was substituted as his sloppiness in possession continued throughout the second period.

The loss saw Norwich slip into second as Leeds United beat Swansea City at Elland Road, and fans will be praying for Vrancic to return quickly as they looked a shadow of themselves without their Bosnian playmaker.

Let’s see how the Canaries fans reacted on Twitter to Tettey’s performance…
