Norwich City have offered around €10m to sign outcast Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia this month, according to BBC Sport.
The Italian international was appointed captain at the San Siro last season, though has struggled to break the first-team this term following heavy investment.
The deal equates to around £7.3m, and the Canaries are understood to have offered the 27-year old around 3m euros a year to make the move to East Anglia.
He is a vastly experienced centre-back, having made over 120 appearances for the Serie A giants.
Previously, the Italian centre-half has been touted as a potential target for Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton.
However, the report claims the former Genoa ace remains to be entirely convinced that a move to Carrow Road is his best option.
While the club will not stand in his way, the player himself is yet to have made up his mind over the switch.
