Arsenal will feel it could have been much worse for them on Saturday, escaping Wembley with just one goal conceded in another away defeat against a Big Six rival. The Gunners could have even snatched a point late on as substitute Alexandre Lacazette missed two big chances, but in truth Tottenham were the better side and only grew in dominance throughout the ninety minutes.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil struggled to provide creativity going forward, Jack Wilshere and Granit Xhaka left the midfield too open, Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny failed to contain the immense scoring threat of Harry Kane and January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struggled to have any real impact on the match – although that was largely due to the lack of consistent supply.
