Player Ratings: Chelsea fans reveal Blues’ three worst performers vs Leicester

Chelsea secured their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Leicester City, but the Foxes certainly took the Blues to the wire. In a cagey game between two well-organised sides, Chelsea went ahead just before half time through Alvaro Morta, but the Spaniard’s strike was cancelled out when Jamie Vardy finished off a goalmouth scramble – leaving Pedro to seal the winner in extra time.

After Sunday’s quarter-final clash, we asked Chelsea fans to give player ratings for each of those involved in the 2-1 win. And while N’Golo Kante sealed the Man of the Match award with 8.9 out of ten, it’s those who received the lowest ratings that makes the most interesting reading. Here’s a rundown of the three Chelsea starters who disappointed fans most vs Leicester…

Eden Hazard – 5.9: Certainly a quiet afternoon by the Belgium international’s usual standards. Although Hazard completed three dribbles and created three chances, he wasn’t directly involved in either goal and took just one shot which failed to test Kasper Schmeichel. Only enjoyed a handful of touches of the ball more than Cesc Fabregas, who came on at half time.

Victor Moses – 5.5: Victor Moses found plenty of space down the right-hand side in the first half but failed to make it really count as a succession of crosses failed to beat the first man. The Nigerian wide man finished up without a single created chance or interception to his name, and completed just 63% of his passes. Considering the limited attention Leicester gave him, Moses should have made much more from his opportunities.

Tiemoue Bakayoko – 3.3: The powerful midfielder’s first season at Stamford Bridge has been filled with disappointments and Sunday’s outing was no different, finding himself hauled off at half time after struggling for significant impact during the first 45 minutes. His replacement Fabregas had far greater influence on the match and with the rest of the season now essentially must-win games for Chelsea, Bakayoko may have already run out of chances to prove himself this term.
