Player Ratings: Who were Man City’s best and worst performers vs Arsenal?

Manchester City aren’t even at full strength yet, and they’ve already overcome two big six rivals this term by a comfortable 2-0 scoreline. After beating Chelsea in the Community Shield at Wembley, Pep Guardiola’s side travelled to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday and dispensed of Arsenal in similar fashion.

Admittedly, the flow of the match was a little more competitive this time around – Arsenal actually created a handful of chances whereas Chelsea couldn’t even break into the final third. But after Bernardo Silva doubled City’s lead from Raheem Sterling’s opener with another assist courtesy of Benjamin Mendy, the supplier for the England international’s strike as well, it was clear there would only be one winner.

And the France international’s impact down the left flank was one of the key themes of the encounter in north London, so much so that Mendy received a wave of adulation on Twitter after the match with one City fan even claiming he ‘could be a vital weapon this season’.

But was the left-back, who Transfermarkt value at £36million, City’s best player on Sunday and who was their worst? Let us know by taking part below and giving individual performance ratings for each of those involved in the 2-0 win…
