Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa has scrapped rumours that Jackson Martinez, Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi are all set to for January moves to the Premier League.
The talented trio have risen to prominence in Portugal by helping the Dragões to claim the league title last season, alerting some of the continent’s biggest outfits along the way.
Martinez – one of the most prolific forwards in Europe – has been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham, while defensive duo Mangala and Otamendi are both thought to be on the radars of the Blues as well as Manchester United and Manchester City.
But, despite rumours of big money offers for the three, Pinto da Costa has rubbished rumours that any of the players could be sold.
“Every day there are stories that one club or another wants Mangala but Porto have not received a single offer for him,” he is quoted by The Express.
“It is the same with Jackson. His name has been in every paper but nobody has contacted us about him.
“Otamendi is the other name that people always talk about and no offers have been received for him either.”
Despite claims that the trio are not for sale, it is likely that some of Europe’s top sides will come in with big money offers over the course of the coming transfer windows.
