Premier League target open to summer move

Hanover winger Didier Ya KonanSunderland and Wigan target Didier Ya Konan has admitted that he has always dreamt of playing in the Premier League.

The Ivorian was linked with a switch to England last summer, but a move failed to materialise.

However, he is likely to be the subject of much interested at the end of the current season, with Roberto Martinez and Martin O’Neill rumoured to be considering bids.

Konan has been in fine form for Bundesliga side Hanover this term, notching five goals to help the German side up to seventh position.

He has also been impressive in the club’s continental exploits, contributing to their run to the last-32 of the tournament.

Now Konan has admitted that he would love to play in the Premier League, opening the door for a move to either Wigan or Sunderland:

“I have always dreamt of playing in the Premier League but nothing has happened so far.” He is quoted by Sky Sports.

“I heard about teams interested through my representative in the UK but nothing has happened.”

But, he went on to confess that he is happy with Hanover and fully focused on helping his employers achieve their goals for the current season:

“I am here in Hanover. We are trying to finish the season strongly and see at the end of the season. We played in Europe this season and we want to do that again.”
