The Premier League transfer window is beginning to hot up, and this summer’s biggest deals are appearing to edge closer to their completion. Today’s Premier League transfer roundup includes an update in Manchester United’s pursuit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, news on Tanguy Ndombele’s potential move to Tottenham and Wilfried Zaha’s desire to leave Crystal Palace.
United and Palace reach agreement for Wan-Bissaka
There is finally a concrete update in regards to the future of Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka. It has now been confirmed that the London club and Manchester United have come to an agreement in regards to the transfer of the 21-year-old to Old Trafford. The deal is worth £50m, with Wan-Bissaka to be paid £80,000-a-week when he moves to the 20-time English champions.
Spurs and Lyon agree deal for Ndombele
There is also an update on another big money transfer that has dragged on for quite a while during this transfer window. Sky Sports are reporting that Tottenham and Lyon have managed to strike a deal over French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele. The fee is believed to be in the region of £65m, which would be a club record fee for Spurs. The 22-year-old is expected to sign a five-year deal with the North London side, with a medical to be completed within the next few days.
Zaha wants Arsenal move
Wilfried Zaha returned to Crystal Palace four years ago from Manchester United and has been one of their best players ever since – last season bagging ten goals and five assists in the Premier League. However, he may not be at Selhurst Park for much longer if the BBC’s David Ornstein is to be believed. The journalist has recently reported that the Ivory Coast international wants to leave Palace and favours a move to Arsenal, but he won’t come cheap with Palace rating the player at up to £80m. That would be far above the Gunners’ reported transfer budget.
