The Daily Star are reporting oil-rich PSG have made a fresh bid of £25 million for want-away striker Carlos Tevez.
The bid has come in as Inter Milan had a £21 million bid rejected by the French side, who failed in their recent attempt to bring AC Milan’s Alexandre Pato to France.
PSG’s newly appointed manager Carlos Ancelotti is said to be keen on the idea of bringing Tevez to the Parc des Princes, and has targeted the Argentine as a player to help the club push on if they want to compete at the highest level.
It is thought that Tevez, however, will take some convincing to link up with the French side, as his preferred European destination is Italy.
Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti remains in the hunt for Tevez’ signature, and said following his side’s 1-0 win over rivals Milan on the weekend, “Our offer is for £21 million. Now it’s up to them whether they accept it or not.
“Do we need Tevez? At this moment it seems not, but football gives different answers every day.”
Tevez has only made three appearances for City this season, including a cameo in the Champions League group stages. He would therefore be ineligible for any European suitors still competing in the competition.
