Scoring goals has been a relentless struggle for Southampton this season. Despite creating the seventh-most chances of any side in the Premier League before this weekend, the south coast outfit have averaged just one goal per game in the top flight - and no player has bettered Charlie Austin's return of just six goals.

With the striker absent through injury or out of the starting XI for much of the campaign, Manolo Gabbiadini and Shane Long have struggled to provide netting prowess in the final third. In recent weeks, Mauricio Pellegrino has trusted the 71-cap Irishman - starting him in Southampton's last four Premier League fixtures.

But it appears Saints supporters would prefer to see the 6 foot 1 Italian lead the line instead this weekend when Tottenham make the trip to St. Mary's. Earlier this week, we asked them who should start up front on Sunday and it was Gabbiadini who won our poll with 71% of the vote.
